Subject: RE: Our Discussion
Dear Sir,
As per our discussion regarding working with my fathers business does not mean that I would be in Blue Truck visa and will be working for my father, but I would be on my own visa and then do the freelance for Blue Truck, if you think this was a wrong decision I apologize for it.
[CEO] Jabbar this is not any wrong decision this is one way that we could look at but unfortunately this would not be approved by Head Office, the only person we can do this for currently is Aziz because his is a once a week duty on a Saturday. (Head Office have also told us to stop with Aziz this way also)
I wish to continue with Blue Truck but due to following reasons I was forced to take this decision:
1-My salary is not so enough where I can cover the petrol allowance on my own
[CEO] I agree and I hoped that your petrol usage would have reduced when we change your schedule, the AED 200 that was used extra last month will not be paid back by accounts. You need to know what your petrol would be as per the new schedule v’s what we have given you for an allowance
2-I worked in the company for last 8 years, if I am in this position its all because of your support, but then it doesn’t mean that I should leave my self respect.
[CEO] I agree and you have been a good employee for 8yrs, you should never loose your respect to anyone, Jabbar you have turned into a man since you started working with Blue and you are now married, you need to decide your own path and set how you treat people and how you want to be treated by people, only you can decide this
3-I feel so embarrassed when ever I go out for any work related to job I should come and ask you or others for petrol (example yesterday I got the petrol money from Mr. Raid)
[CEO] See point 1.
4-These 8 years of my experience with Blue Pages/Blue Truck I never put myself so down as much I am for this last six months due to office atmosphere
[CEO] The office atmosphere can be difficult, particularly when the cash flow is so difficult. The accounts department only sees Dirhams not peoples feelings, this is the way they are and this is there duty it is not personal to you
5-I respected you and I always respect you, my idea of leaving the company was just to avoid the issues from accounts, so that I need not be using the company car or petrol.
[CEO] Jabbar you must decide what you want and ask yourself these questions;
- What do I want from my working life/career now I am a family man?
- What is best for me and my family?
- How do I want to be treated by my colleagues?
- How do I want to treat my colleagues?
- Which is the best job for me and my family and what makes me happy?
My decision Benefits for blue truck:
1-Company car rental will be saved
2-Company petrol will be saved (which they are having problems)
3-Jobs will be done as normal we are applying and getting NOC
[CEO] don’t worry about what is best for Blue, worry about what is best for Jabbar and make your decision
Sir, if there is no solution then I will resign and would be glad to train my next replacement and leave even if my decision is acceptable or not.
[CEO] Jabbar if you resign I know that you will do what is right as you are a good and trust worthy person. Just make sure that you are happy with your decision and you make it for the right reasons.
Thank you
